Summer Employment

The following are seasonal part-time or full-time hourly positions, weather permitting. Shifts typically run between 9am and 6pm. Between July 1 and Labor Day.

SNACK BAR

For summer 2021 we are offering items from the snack bar window as well as our Tiki Bar.

Essential Job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Interacting with guests with energy and hospitality
  • Keeping area free of debris and clean for guests
  • Prepares meal and beverage ingredients.
  • Takes orders & Runs register.
  • Opens /closes concessions.
  • Maintains compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.
  • Assists with unloading, stocking, & storage of ingredients and supplies.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Basic understanding of or the ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
  • Basic understanding of or the ability to learn food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently as part of a team or independently.

TIKI BARTENDER

Essential Job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist guests.
  • Prepare & Serve cocktails or other refreshments.
  • Check IDs
  • Basic understanding of or the ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
  • Maintain a stocked and clean work area.
  • Open/Close Bar Area
  • Work with the snack bar staff as needed.
  • Communications as needed with guests and other members of staff.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • State Law requires a certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness/safety. You must have a bartender's license to work in this position.
  • Must have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Must be able to frequently communicate and develop rapport with guests and associates and have a working relationship with the resort management team.
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Must be able to regularly lift/move supplies, some upwards of 25lbs.
  • Work in a loud, active, and humid work environment.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene.

LIFEGUARD

Lifeguard is responsible for enforcing policies and safety procedures at waterpark attractions, slides, pools, concessions, and activities. This includes following and enforcing all company policies and procedures in accordance with property and applicable lifeguard manuals and providing legendary guest service. This position also performs various tasks relating to activities, concessions, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure the safety of the guests and prevent injuries by supervising pools and surrounding areas.
  • Maintain all aquatics/pool standards and enforce all rules.
  • Accurately and completely fill out all paperwork required to coincide with any first aid administered in a timely manner to ensure documentation can be distributed to appropriate personnel.
  • During slower periods, cleanliness and sanitation of Waterpark are expected to be performed by all staff. Management may provide specific lists based on needs.
  • Wear proper attire and whistle in accordance with dress code standards.
  • Attend staff meetings and training as required.
  • Communicate all pool rules professionally and ensure that you are accessible and identifiable.
  • Follows established safety procedures. Complies with all policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must be lifeguard & CPR certified, experience not required. (only pool certification required)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public, guests, and staff members.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to be prompt and work scheduled work shifts.
  • Knowledge of the standards of care in the industry.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently.
  • Must be firm, fair, consistent, and courteous in order to gain respect and cooperation from the public.
  • The knowledge that their decisions may affect the total facility staff and the lives of others.
  • Must have emotional stability and the ability to make sound decisions that conform to facility policies when dealing with adverse situations.
  • Independent judgment concerning work methods and procedures is required.

SLIDE ATTENDANT

Work is performed under the supervision of Lifeguard Crew Leader & Operations. Duties include ensuring the safety of facility patrons by assisting patrons at the top or bottom of the slide.

Essential Job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Interacting with guests with energy and service
  • Enforcing park safety rules
  • Keeping area free of debris and clean for guests
  • Ensuring that guests are clear from slide so that others can proceed.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able-to and comfortable engaging with guests and team members in a positive manner.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to be prompt and work scheduled work shifts.

Winter Employment

Winter operations begin in early December with hiring typically starting in late-October or early-November. Winter positions are either part-time or full-time seasonally and include perks such as free skiing & riding!

With the exception of a Ski & Snowboard Instructor or National Ski Patroller, all positions may be applied for at any time. See applicable sections below for information on Instructor & Patroller positions.

We are a winter operations facility, which means  All applicants must be comfortable commuting in winter conditions as we operate during inclement weather including snowstorms unless extreme cases force us to close.

We will begin accepting applications on October 1, 2021, for the 2021-2022 winter season.
