Rental Equipment Fittings Overview

As part of the January Lesson Program, we offer the option to rent equipment directly from our Rental Equipment Shop. Using Yawgoo Valley's rental equipment is totally optional. For younger age groups (Ages 3-6) we do not charge any rental equipment fee. For all other programs, with the exception of the Junior Race Club, you have the choice to include rental equipment. The fee to include rental equipment is $50 or $10 per week, per student.

This year more than any year, advanced rental equipment fittings are a necessary element in our program due to the volume of students participating and the time required to safely set-up your equipment. Completing a fitting prior to the start of classes ensures we have proper fitting equipment for your student and prevents any delay on class days. Rental equipment fittings will be offered Wednesdays through Saturdays from November 4 through December 5. Please contact us if you are unable to attend a rental fitting on any of the dates offered below. You will likely be advised to contact us in late November once we have a more accurate opening day to provide alternative dates. The final deadline for rental equipment fittings will be December 28. At this point, any unfitted students will be required to provide their own equipment or purchase rental equipment at the ticket window every week, with no advanced set-up ($30 per week).

Since we are required to limit the number of guests within the rental shop at one time, we ask if possible, that you limit the number of people accompanying the students during the fitting (i.e. other siblings, grandparents, friends, etc.). Additionally, we ask that should you have any questions to please have them prepared to help speed up the process for everyone. Fitting sessions typically take 10-15 minutes per student. We recommend bringing the socks that will be worn while skiing, but it isn't required - see the "What to Wear" section below for more details.

Your program equipment rental is only available for use during your designated lesson time on days your lesson is held. You are permitted to use your equipment before or after your lesson with the purchase of a lift ticket, deeply discounted for students in the program. This discount only applies to your lesson day. Should you require to rent equipment on another day or session separate from your lesson day, you will be required to re-rent, including completing a rental form that corresponds to that specific visit.

SCHEDULING MY RENTAL FITTING & ARRIVAL
Once you arrive on the property we will ask that you remain in your car to check-in using the same link you booked with. Some appointments may finish up a little earlier or take a bit longer so once checked in, you will be alerted via text once we are ready for you. Please stay in your car or stop in the pro shop while you wait.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES DURING FITTINGS
Face-coverings are nothing new to the snow sports world, so wearing a face covering while skiing and riding will be a breeze for you! Guests that are able to, are required to wear face-coverings indoors AND when 6 feet distancing cannot be maintained. Staff is required to wear face protection at all times, please keep our staff safe while we keep you safe!

FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHERS:
please cancel or reschedule your appointment if you or any member of your household is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 that cannot be explained by known allergies or non-infectious illness, have been in close contact (less than six feet) with anyone with COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or have been directed to quarantine or isolate by the RI Department of Health or a healthcare provider in the past 14 days. Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches, headaches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

Helmets & clothing are not available for rental at Yawgoo. We also do not (cannot) require helmets, but always encourage beginners to incorporate helmet wearing into their routine – start young! The pro shop offers a selection of helmets and apparel to keep you safe, warm, and dry while skiing or riding.

YES! You can always add the rental equipment option through the end of fittings, after this point rental equipment will be available daily only – no advanced set-up with daily paperwork. Simply stop by the ticket window prior to your rental shop visit. Keep in mind the ticket office window closes 30-minutes before the rental shop.

Should you require to rent equipment on another day or session separate from your lesson day, you will be required to re-rent, including completing a rental form that corresponds to that specific visit. We do not offer overnight rentals except for our seasonal lease equipment (see next question).

YES! If you are interested in a rental equipment option that you can utilize more than just your lesson time or would like to take your equipment on trips, our lease program might be right for you. This is a great option for newcomers to snow sports not quite ready to invest in expensive ski and board equipment or children that are likely to grow out of the gear by next season. We have two options for seasonal rentals with either never-been-used equipment or our one-season-used equipment. All used equipment has been inspected, tested, and tuned to verify quality. All seasonal equipment is limited and available by appointment only while supplies last. Equipment is due back in April or whenever you are done skiing or riding for the season! If you are interested in a seasonal rental, an appointment will be required using the same link above and select LEASE EQUIPMENT FITTING. The same schedule is available for both Lease Equipment & January Program Rental Fittings.

Used Gear Lease Special $199 plus tax

Our lightly used seasonal lease fleet from the previous season is available for students in the program for $199. Additionally, if you have paid $50 to include the rental equipment with your lessons we will happily apply that portion to your seasonal lease upgrade – this excludes Kinderschuss, Kindershred, Mini Trackers & Mini Shredders students as we do not charge any rental fee for these age groups.
