Multi-Day Snow Sports Program Lessons

Multi-Day programs are a group lesson option for children as young 3 years old as well as older children and adults. Our Snow Sports School offers two multi-day programs throughout the season. Our January Ski & Ride Program is a once a week program for 6 weeks that start in January, registration begins in mid-September. The February Vacation Week program is a 3-day lesson held during the school vacation week, registration begins in mid-January. You must register online or in our office for either program. In addition to our multi-day programs, we offer daily private lessons and walk-in group lessons all season long. Visit our snow sports page for information. Our staff has been trained specifically in teaching skills based progressions from novice through advanced levels.  Many of our staff members have advanced their knowledge and skills base by becoming professionally certified in their discipline by Professional Ski Instructors of America and American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA/AASI).  Some staff members are pursuing higher levels of certification and have attained other certifications such as Children's Specialist 1 & 2, Freestyle Specialist 1 & 2.

Registrations are accepted ONLINE or IN OFFICE ONLY. No phone registrations.

January Ski & Ride Lesson Program

This multi-week program consists of a weekly lesson for 6 consecutive weeks starting in January. Children as young as 3 years old can participate in addition to older children and adults! Program options vary according to sport, age, and experience level and are designed to introduce or hone your child's skills in a fun group setting. Classes, especially weekend classes, can and will sell out, so please enroll early. Registration will be held online or in office. Schedule of registration will be determined by Labor Day. Enrollment for this January program begins in mid-September.

What you need to know:

CHOOSING A PROGRAM

Programs are listed below and separated by ski and snowboard then by age and/or skill level. First choose your sport (Ski or Board) then choose from the programs according to your child's age (as of 1/1/18) and skill level.  Please contact us if you feel your child doesn't fit in the available programs. In some cases, private lessons may be recommended.

SCHEDULE

Once you choose a program that best suits your child, choose a day and time. Upon registering you will attend all 6 classes at this day/time. You cannot change days and any missed classes will be forfeited. Please see absences and postponements.

PAYMENT / CANCELLATIONS

Payment is due in full upon registration. Any change requests will incur a $10 administrative fee. Changes to the original registration, which are subject to availability, include changing a class day/time, program, sport, adding/removing rental equipment or refunds. No changes and refunds will be issued after December 1, 2017. Refunds may be considered with a physician's note.

To request a refund or for any changes to the registration please complete the refund/change request form here>.

RENTAL EQUIPMENT

Programs that offer the option to rent equipment: If you choose to rent equipment you must be fitted for equipment (try-on) no later than December 1, 2017. Equipment will be available during your scheduled lesson only. Any future uses would require an additional fee and set-up. Failure to be fitted for equipment may result in partial or full loss of first lesson to be measured that day. Rental fittings will begin November 1st, official schedule to be determined, will include after school and weekend options. Helmets are not available for rent. Helmet use at our facility is voluntary.

RENTAL FITTING SCHEDULE (November 1st - December 1st):

Wednesday, Thursdays, & Fridays 3pm-6pm or Saturdays 10am-2pm (Closed Sunday-Tuesday)

SKILL LEVEL (Class Placement)

Upon creating an account, you will have to enter your child's skill level. If you have registered in past years it is important to update as your child will be placed into an appropriate class according to this entry. This must be updated every year. View Skill Level Chart PDF. Class sizes will vary depending on program and skill level but typically range from 6-10. Requests for instructors or to be placed with another student must be made by 12/1/17.The best place is to leave this request in the NOTE field under your child’s account information. We cannot guarantee requests.

To update your account visit our store HERE > Login as Member > Select Child under your profile once logged in > Choose appropriate level in drop down next to 'Ski or Board'. If you have difficulty please email us your updates before registration day at help@yawgoo.com.  (Note: if next to your child's level it says "Update for 2018" then your child's level has been manually adjusted by our staff and should only be changed if your child participated in additional lessons after last year's program.)

SOLD OUT PROGRAMS / WAITLIST

Due to space restrictions and an effort to reserve lesson quality, programs WILL SELL OUT. Please keep this in mind as weekend classes will sell out first; it is helpful to have a backup day or days. If your desired program day/time is sold out please send an email to 'help@yawgoo.com' with the subject "WAITLIST". Be sure to include your contact information, your child's name, age, skill level and program(s) you would like to be placed on a waitlist for. You will be placed on the list in order of time received. Sorry, no phone or fax waitlist requests will be accepted. We make every effort to place people on the waitlist but it will take time, sometimes weeks or months.

ABCENCES/ MAKE-UP CLASSES

In previous years we offered a make-up week class which caused some confusion on how it works. This year, all students are welcome to attend all 6 weeks, but we will not credit, refund, or offer an additional class should you miss any (medical reasons will be accepted with a physician's note). 6 weeks will be offered to every registered student. You cannot attend a class at a different time or day. Absences are not the same as postponements/inclement weather.

POSTPONEMENTS/ INCLEMENT WEATHER

Postponements are days we hold back a week for any or all classes held on that specific day. Please note we are a winter facility so we make every attempt to hold classes in cold, snow, light rain, sun, light wind, etc. In some cases, we may opt to postpone classes for the safety of our guests and staff. These decisions are not officially announced typically until the morning of your class day by 7:30am (usually earlier). Check our website, social media or join our text alerts (HERE- Rainedout.net) for updates that day. Should your class be postponed, we will resume the following week and continue the sessions from there. Some years classes have been postponed through February. Please consider this before enrolling; we offer walk-in group lessons for ages 7 and up should you be unable to commit to all 6 weeks.

CLASS DAY

On the first day of classes please be sure to arrive early to meet your instructor and group. Programs do not include a lift pass for skiing/riding before or after each lesson EXCEPT the turn & tour program. Should your child wish to practice before or after lesson; a lift ticket must be purchased. Discounted tickets are available for registered students at lesson times on the day of a held lesson, purchase at ticket window that day.
