Commitment and Requirements for Instructor and Apprentice Training:

$125.00 (one time fee) for purchase of  Yawgoo Valley Snow Sports Instructor Manual and combined 20 hours of classroom and on the hill training, and a background check.

20 hours of training at Yawgoo Valley.

2016 training sessions are scheduled tentatively for:
Indoor Sessions:
Nov. 3 6:30-7:30
Nov. 10 6:30-8:30
Nov. 15 6:30-8:30
Nov. 17 6:30-8:30
Nov. 22 6:30-8:30
Outdoor Sessions (Determined by weather):
Monday - Thursday (Dec 5-8) 6:30-8:30
Monday - Thursday (Dec 12-16) 6:30-8:30


Instructor and apprentice candidates must also commit to four (two hour sessions) Eight total hours of on snow training, to be determined later,per snow and or snow-making.
Snowsports Instructor

· Minimum age of 16 years or older by Dec 1, 2016

· Skiing/riding competence on all terrain 
     

· Enthusiasm, patience, passion for snow sports, friendly personality, professional attitude and a sense of humor
     

· Reliable transportation to work, on time, each scheduled work day
      

 · Commitment to an approved calendar of work days, including peak holiday periods, weekends, and other times of high business volume
       

· Work minimum of  7.5 hours weekly from December thru March

· Uniform - Black pants and current ski/snowboard equipment. Uniform jackets will be available for purchase upon successful completion of the ITC.
    
· Willingness to teach children.
       
· Teach all lessons in a safe, supportive manner while keeping it fun
       
· Abide by and follow the policies and procedures of Yawgoo Valley    
   

· Maintain a professional appearance and professional conduct at all times – a must  
     

· Continue professional development by attending in-house training clinics
Apprentice

· Minimum age of 14 as of December 1, 2016

· Skiing/riding competence on all terrain

 · Enthusiasm, patience, passion for snow sports, friendly personality, professional attitude and a sense of humor

· Reliable transportation to work, on time, each scheduled work day

· Commitment to an approved calendar of work days, including peak holiday periods, weekends, and other times of high business volume
       
·Work minimum of 7.5 hours weekly from December thru March

· Willingness to assist YVSS instructors in teaching children.
   

· Assist in conducting a safe, supportive environment while keeping it fun!
